Our annual church camp will take place from 9 to 12 June 2025. Registration for the camp will open this Sunday, 9 March, and further details about the camp (e.g. location, fees, how to register) can be found in the bulletin. In this article, I would like to encourage you to register, by giving you Three Reasons to Attend the June Camp!
#1 – It is a time to grow closer to God’s Word.
The theme for this year’s June camp is “Growing Like Jesus”, taken from Luke 2:52. Faithful men have already been assigned to prepare and teach lessons in the adults’ classes, on various ways that we can “Grow Like Jesus.” Young men will be assigned to prepare and lead devotions, to encourage us from God’s Word. The children will not be left out, for the ladies are preparing lessons for the nursery and primary school aged children, to teach them life-long principles from the Word of God.
Attend the June camp – it is a great opportunity to grow closer to God’s Word!
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)
O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. (Psalm 119:97)
#2 – It is a time to grow closer to God.
God speaks to us through His Word, and we speak to Him through our prayers and songs of praise to Him. This June camp, it will be a time to grow closer to God, through time set aside each day for congregational prayers and singing. We will take the time to bring our prayer requests and thanksgiving before Him as a congregation, and various men will also take turns to choose hymns and lead us in praise to our God Almighty.
Attend the June camp – it is a great opportunity to grow closer to God!
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. (Hebrews 13:15)
#3 – It is a time to grow closer to each other.
On an average Sunday, we do not usually have many opportunities to sit down and get to know our fellow brethren better. Our interactions are limited to superficial “hellos and goodbyes.” However, the June camp is an excellent opportunity to grow closer to each other. We can eat together with people that we do not usually talk with, we can spend the free time exploring the resort’s facilities with fellow brethren, and we can relax and spend time getting to know each other better. Wouldn’t you like to have a chance to grow closer to each other, and have ample opportunities to demonstrate care and concern and love towards each other?
