A. The Way To Heaven
Men’s Way: All ways lead to heaven. Pro 16:25 a. Choose any religion you like; all ways lead to heaven. Matt 7:13-14 b. Choose the church of your choice.
God’s Way: Only Through Jesus Christ. John 14:6
B. Jesus Is The Way
He does not just point the way; He is THE way. a. He is the way to God: “no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jn 14:6 b. He is the way to eternal life. Acts 4:12 c. Is called the Way of Yahweh: Proving Jesus is God. Matt 3:3; Isa 40:3 d. Called the Way of Holiness. Isa 35:8 e. Called the Way of Righteousness. Rom 3:23; 2 Pet 2:21 f. Called the Way of salvation. Acts 16:17 g. The Way is paved by His own blood, through His body; therefore He is the Way. Heb 10:19-20 h. Which way will you choose?
Why It Is Important To Be On The Right Way? a. Wrong way leads to death. Pro 16:25 b. Right way leads to eternal life. Matt 7:14
Warning: Know where you are heading because wrong way leads to eternal fire.
C. Jesus Is The Truth
He does not simply reveal truth; He is the truth. a. God’s Law is truth. Psalm 119:142 b. God’s Commandments are truth. Psalm 119:151 c. God’s Word is truth. Jn 17:17 d. Jesus is the Word that becomes flesh. Jn 1:14 e. That Word was God. Jn 1:1-3 f. Therefore, Jesus is GOD. He is God’s Commandments, God’s Law and God’s truth.
Why TRUTH is important? a. The opposite is a lie. b. Would you prefer to listen to the truth or a lie? c. One cannot be saved by believing a lie.
Jesus is the TRUTH means He cannot lie. a. God is the God of truth. Psa 31:5; Deut 32:4; Isa 65:16 b. The TRUTH is revealed in the bible. 2Tim 3:16-17. c. The TRUTH reveals to us how to be saved. 1 Thess 2:13; 2 Thess 2:10 d. Jesus is the TRUTH, in which we are begotten and saved. Jas 1:18
Jesus Is The Life a. Eternal life is in Him, Jn 1:4; 3:16 b. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. Jn 11:25-26 c. Outside Christ, there is no eternal life but eternal damnation. Jn 3:16. d. When Jesus claimed to be the Life eternal; He claimed to be God. Psa 90:2; 93:2; Gen 21:33 e. Anyone that believes on the Son has eternal life. Jn 3:36; 5:24
Conclusion
A. Jesus is THE ONLY way to God today.
B. Jesus is THE ONLY truth you must obey today.
C. Jesus is THE ONLY eternal life you can claim today.
D. If you are not a Christian this morning; you need to be one today.
